Adobe Photoshop Express (Beta)

Posted on March 28, 2008 08:17 by vincentpang

Recently Adobe has launched a online photo gallery which allows user to upload 2GB of files. It has a friendly user interface (UI) and is pretty cool I would say.

However, some of the function missing are like

1) statistics on the picture (e.g. how many views).
2) grab picture from flickr (currently only facebook, picasa and photobucket)
3) no forum for discussion
4) cannot leave comment on picture
5) slow

Below are some screen shoots of the website after I have created my account.

Smoke

Posted on March 24, 2008 15:41 by vincentpang

This is the 3rd time i try to capture smoke, and I think is the most successful one.

#1 - Original before colouring with Photoshop

#2

#3 - Trying something new, a white background, turn out to be quite nice

Some of the equipments required:

  1. Camera
  2. Tripod
  3. Dark Background (in this case i use my diffuser)
  4. External Flash
  5. Jos Stick

This is how the setup look like

The thing you need to becareful is airflow, too much airflow will cause the smoke to be very weak, and too little airflow will make the smoke looks boring, not much movement.

Lowyat.Net Photo Outing

Posted on March 16, 2008 06:26 by vincentpang

Organised the 3rd LYN outing for photoshoot. First was at Zoo, second bird park, 3rd model shooting. It was a great outing as everyone like the model (phew). Models were great, the photographers were very co-operative. Photogs were changing and trying out other gear like crazy. I tried out the 85mm f1.2L. Superb lens ! Below are some photos from the outing.

 #1 - Canon 400D + 85mm f1.2L

 #2

 #3

 #4 - panning shot

Pulau Redang

Posted on March 4, 2008 15:17 by vincentpang

I have not been updating my blog for quite some time. Went to Redang Islang, Terengganu last week for department team building. The trip was suppose to be from Monday and coming back on Thursday. But due to bad weather, there is no boat/airplane going in or out of the island and so, I was there for another night.

Below are some pictures I took during my trip.

Some HDR post processing to optimise the picture

a view taken from the Laguna Hotel I stayed
