"Trash the dress" is not new in wedding photography. But it is uncommon because wedding studio will have a hard time cleaning it. Not sure where does it comes from, but the idea was to trash the wedding dress. Some photographers have gone to the extreme of burning the wedding gown or some shoot at junkyard or dump side.
